Crodino
No alcohol in it at all. Made in the town of Crodo in northern Italy since 1964, bitter orange and herbs, and it builds a spritz that looks identical to everyone else’s at the table. The person not drinking gets handed the same glass, not a lemonade.
Sarti Rosa
Bright pink, 14%, blood orange with mango and passion fruit running through it. Casa Sarti has been in Bologna since 1885, but this expression only launched in 2022, made for those who prefer a sweeter touch.
Aperol
Padua, 1919, the Barbieri brothers. Orange and rhubarb, low strength, and the reason a whole generation started drinking bitters without noticing they had.
Campari
Milan, 1860, Gaspare Campari, and a recipe still known to a handful of people. It is the bottle the classics are built on, from the negroni and the Americano through to the Garibaldi and the Boulevardier.
Cynar
Padua, 1952, the Dalle Molle brothers, thirteen herbs and botanicals including artichoke leaves. A bitter and earthy digestif, perfect for the palate that prefers a robust and hearty serve.
Mondoro
The answer to the Hugo Spritz. Classic elderflower flavour, delicately harvested, paired with bubbles and fresh mint will always please.
